Fascinators are occasional headpieces that are usually worn for weddings, races, bar mitzvah’s, garden parties and other special occasions. At UK weddings guests traditionally wear fascinators, the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom often choose elaborate headpieces, however that is not always the cause. Fascinators are also traditional worn at horse racing events, indeed fascinators and hats have become compulsory headwear for ladies day for the Royal Ascot and Grand National racing events.

How to wear a Fascinator
A fascinator can be worn in various ways, most commonly on the right side of the head. This dates back to when a gentleman walked on a lady’s left hand side. However, they can be worn on the left or in the center depending on the design. At the end of the day it’s your fascinator, your style and your occasion. You choose your way.

Headband
The Headband fascinator is definitely our most popular. They are easy to wear and are stable on the head. Various thickness of bands are available. The band can be hidden with your hair or shown so it stands out.
Comb
Comb fascinators are suitable for ladies with thicker, longer hair as they grip onto the hair. A comb fascinator can be used to hold the hair back, away from the face.
Clip
Clips are suitable for light weight fascinators. The fascinator can be worn at any angle and on any part of the head/hair. You can even clip them to a larger fascinator to make a bespoke headpiece.
Fascinator styles
Hoop fascinators usually consist of strips of sinamay or netting looped around into stunning headpieces.
Pillbox fascinators are small hats attached with clips or a headband. They look traditional but are smaller than a hat.
Disk fascinators are sometimes referred to as hatinators, especially the larger ones. They are usually on a headband, not sitting directly on your head like a hat.
